We asked what you wanted help with and we had an overwhelming amount of responses with a similar theme: the itinerary.
Yes, your wedding is all about you and you should be able to do what you want, when you want...but don’t get carried away and throw the timeline out the window. It’s SO important to you (and to your guests that are bystanders of the days’ events) that you have an organized schedule for the day. Vendors will be able to do their part in your day without any glitches, the events will occur one after another with flawless ease, and the speeches will stay short and sweet.
So to help you lovely ladies out, I’m going to share with you what Brett and I’s vague idea for our itinerary is. Then after that, I’m sharing a SUPER helpful free download about your itinerary from Kailey Michelle Events with you.
Here it goes...
1.Ceremony at our church. Here we will see each other for the first time as I walk down the aisle, exchange vows, and mingle a bit in the hall afterwards.
2.Picture time! We’ll head to our photo locations with our wedding party and parents for those special pictures that last a life time.
3.Family photos. We’ll arrive at our reception venue in Assiniboine Park before our guests so that we have time to take pictures with our extended families and share some special time with them.
4.Receiving line. Guests arrive at the reception, sign the guestbook, and pick up their favour before heading down the receiving line. This saves Brett and I the stress of trying to see everyone before the night is over!
5.Dinner and speeches. After some visiting, dinner will be served. Throughout meal time, some speeches will be taking place! This breaks up speeches a bit and keeps it a little more interesting for guests. Speeches will be long enough to share important and memorable stories but will still have a time limit. :)
6.Special dances. The first dance and dance with dad will happen and then...
7.Dance party!! Our friends and family will join us on the dance floor for the rest of the night.
And voila! My wedding day in a nutshell. :) To download the helpful guide from Kailey Michelle Events, click here! And for a blank day of timeline, click here!
